Tavern Live: Hanover’s Concert Series
The Hanover Tavern Foundation presents the final outdoor “Tavern LIVE!” concert of the 2014 season at Hanover Tavern on Friday, September 5. James Justin and Co. open the show at 6:00 PM featuring their impeccable bluegrass chops followed by Jackass Flats at 7:00 PM with their fresh arrangements of bluegrass and non-traditional tunes from genres as varied as rock, reggae, and jazz.
The Live outdoor concerts will feature savory barbecue by Q Barbeque, and local craft beers. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. music starts at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and children 12 & under FREE are free! Reserve your tickets online at www.hanovertavern.org
* December 7 – Patrick Henry High School Madrigal Singers
The Patrick Henry High School Madrigal Singers under the direction of Carol Ann Dickerson, present, “A Renaissance Holiday”, for Harmony in Hanover. Performing in Renaissance costumes of the 16th century, the thirty-six member Madrigal Singers, will perform highlights from repertoire dating from the late Renaissance period to the present. The concert offers a varied program of secular and sacred music. Highlights include many winter and holiday favorites.
Take a moment to celebrate both the quietness and unrestrained joy on of the holiday season with some early music. Following the concert, the Madrigal Singers will lead the audience in a carol-sing and tree lighting.
The festivities will begin in the Bradley Theater at 7:00 PM. Ticket for the event are $25.00. Includes reception before performance.
