This special fundraiser for Hanover Tavern Foundation will immerse a limited number of guests in an evening at the Tavern during its Colonial period.
A five-course candlelight supper will be served in the historic Cage Bar and feature recipes from the personal 1744 cookbook of Eleanor Parks Shelton, wife of Tavern owner John Shelton – the future parents-in-law of Founding Father Patrick Henry.
Supper will be accompanied by period ales & liquors, all set to the strings of a violin playing Colonial-era music.
