DESCRIPTION:ATLAS Partnership is thrilled to partner with Foster Solomon\, Jerold Solomon\, and Ron Klipp — the creative team behind Gabriel\, a soaring new musical that tells the story of Gabriel’s Rebellion\, one of the most important slave uprisings in Virginia and American history. \nBorn in 1776\, Gabriel embodied a vision that transcended the American Revolution\, becoming a powerful force for justice and social conscience. While Thomas Jefferson\, George Washington\, and Patrick Henry fought for independence\, Gabriel grew up witnessing the promises of liberty denied to 300\,000+ enslaved Virginians. In 1800\, Gabriel risked—and ultimately sacrificed—his life for freedom. \nGabriel the musical was originally developed and produced at Firehouse Theatre in Fall 2022. Early in its development\, the project was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (one of only 17 musical theatre grants awarded nationally in 2020). The 2022 run at the Firehouse sold out\, and the show received the Best New Work Award from the Richmond Theatre Community Circle in 2023. \nThe premiere of the newly revised script and score will debut at historic Hanover Tavern in September 2025\, and will be part of Chamberlayne Actors Theatre’s 2025-26 Season. \nGet Your Tickets: Gabriel \nBe sure to make your dinner reservations at Hanover Tavern. 804-537-5050. \n  \n  \n

The veil is thinning – the perfect time for you to find out for yourself…is the Hanover Tavern haunted?\nThose who dare will tour the Haunted Hanover Tavern\, Historic Courthouse\, and Old Stone Jail. Along the way\, you’ll meet a ghastly cast of characters as they recount ghostly tales of actual events and recorded paranormal activity at these locations by Transcend Paranormal. \nYou never know what might be lurking when the Ghosts Walk at Night! \n  \n  \n  \n  \nGuided tours begin at 7:00PM and the last tour departs at 9:00PM. DRINKS & APPETIZERS FROM HANOVER TAVERN RESTAURANT & PUB AVAILABLE EACH NIGHT! \nPlease arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour start time. \nTickets are $25 per person. \nThis is a fundraising event! 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Hanover Tavern Foundation to support their mission to preserve\, interpret\, and utilize the Hanover Tavern as a historical\, educational\, community\, and cultural resource center for the enjoyment of all. \nTickets are required.
