They will portray Captain Eli Branson’s Independent Company of Loyal NC Volunteers. These men joined up with Cornwallis following the Battle of Guildford Courthouse and accompanied his Army throughout its forays and battles in Virginia in 1781\, and were present at the surrender in Yorktown.\nThis event is FREE for the public.

Historic sites are a beacon of knowledge and provide opportunities for growth; not only for the paranormal field\, but also the community at large. \nJoin us as we rally around the Hanover Tavern to support these endeavors and find yourself part of something bigger than any single one of us. \nThere has been a Tavern on the property since 1733\, when the first license for a Tavern at Hanover Courthouse was issued. The existing Tavern was built in stages and includes more than 12\,000 square feet on three floors. The earliest surviving portion of this building dates back to 1791\, with additions in the 1820’s\, 1830’s and the 1990’s. \nSuch historical figures as George Washington\, Lord Cornwallis\, Marquis de Lafayette\, Patrick Henry\, P.T. Barnum\, and even Edgar Allen Poe graced the halls of Hanover Tavern. During the Civil War\, both Union and Confederate troops utilized the Tavern. \nWith so much history packed into this building\, has every guest that checked into Hanover Tavern truly checked out?
