Hanover Tavern is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for all — history buffs, students, or anyone who wants to learn more about the rich heritage of the Tavern and surrounding areas.

Antiques at the Tavern – Signature Event: Hanover Tavern Foundation is excited to announce its one-of-a-kind Antiques at the Tavern event April 29-May 1! Historic Hanover Tavern hosts 20 hand-selected dealers offering for sale a variety of period furniture, ceramics, silver, pottery, jewelry, art, books, linens, folk art, and much more! It promises to be a fun and educational weekend. All proceeds from this event support Hanover Tavern Foundation. Learn more here.

Hanover AutumnFest – Signature Event: “Hanover AutumnFest”, sponsored by Anton Paar USA, is our signature community event of the year.  We are celebrating and thanking those that support us throughout the year.  Learn more here.

Heritage Music Series: The Heritage Music Series pays tribute to Hanover Tavern’s cultural history by bringing varying musicians from around the nation to play music with a cultural and historic basis to the Tavern.  All musical groups perform their music while also telling the story of their culture, instruments, and melodies.  The shows are the first Wednesday of each month and are open to the public free of charge.

Speaker Series: As part of the educational experience at Hanover Tavern, quarterly, we feature a new author, speaker, or presentation that explore different topics unique to the history of the United States, Virginia, Hanover County, or the Tavern.  Past programs have included hearth cooking, wine tasting, authors, architects, Civil War presentations, and historic collections.
